About

Hello!

My name’s Ben and I’m a 35 year old Sydney-born Brisbanite. I returned to Australia two years ago having spent the previous seven years in South Korea working as an English as a Second Language teacher. All in all, it was a great experience and one that I have fond memories of.

One of the best parts of living in East Asia was the opportunity – and relative ease & low cost, (not too mention, proximity!) – to travel across the Asia-Pacific region. To learn about places, brush up on some new languages, read up about different cultures and histories, explore the streets, take photos, eat the food and meet the locals. It was a great experience for a lifelong dreamer, wonderer, wanderer and would-be traveller.

This blog is designed to highlight the cities, towns and places of interest I visited along the way. To provide some history and background info on the locations along with photos and reminders of places visited. I’ve only just begun trolling through old photos, brushing them up and posting them online, so be sure to come back as I’ll gradually get to the several score of interesting places in half a dozen countries I’ve been to over the past ten years.

Through these experiences and travels I developed a love for writing and photography that I hope to further enhance through this blog, suggestions or constructive criticism are always welcome! If you’d like to contact me for advice, a suggestion, assistance, or – even better – a job opportunity(!), feel free to email me at elcanguro 76 (@) gmail.com

If you happen to be after a more ecletic mix of politics, current events and pure randomness from a man with too much time on his hands there’s always my other blog,  aptly named This Blog.

Peace.평화.Pais.Pax.平和.和平.سلام
